“Chi-Blockers Do It From Behind”
My theory of Amon being a chi-blocker has a lot to do with how he “takes bending away” differently from Aang. Aang always does it from the front, with a thumb on the forehead and a hand on the chest. Amon puts the thumb on the forehead, but that’s about it, sometimes doing it from behind.
…I thought about those last few words and made this. I regret nothing.
Not to mention that he grabs the neck as well. Possibly this can add pressure to a point that when Amon presses down with his thumb it taps a nerve or muscle that immobilizes the bending.
